Asian Chemical Biology Initiative, an organization launched 5 years ago by scientists from Japan, Korea, China and Singapore, held its annual meeting at Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, between January 29 and February 1, 2016. Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library, attended the meeting. He gave a talk describing his latest results in studies on G-protein coupled receptors. During the meeting, Dr. Wang also interviewed a dozen of local undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing their postgraduate studies in China. This mission was carried out on behalf of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, and the responses were overwhelming.
