Between September 9 and 12, 2019, a delegation from Global Health Drug Discovery Institute based in Beijing (GHDDI; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, U.S.A.), consisted of Drs. Wen Xiong (Director of Scientific Program), Chi Kin Chan (Director of High-throughput Screening, HTS), Kun Sun (Investigator) and Chu Ya Niu (Research Associate), visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). They were warmly received by Drs. Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) and Dehua Yang (Professor of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences). During the period, the parties discussed ongoing research collaboration projects, some of the guests performed HTS experiments jointly with Ms. Jia Wang (Senior Engineer), Ms. Hui Zhang (Assistant Professor), Mr. Qiang Shen (Technician) and Ms. Yuzhe Wang (Ph.D. student). Dr. Wen Xiong delivered an invited lecture entitled “Portfolio at Global Health Drug Discovery Institute”.
