Jointly chaired by Dr. Ruiming Xu, Director-General of Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Dr. Per Falk, Senior Vice President of Novo Nordisk A/S, the annual board meeting of Novo Nordisk-CAS Research Fund was held in Beijing in the afternoon of November 6, 2014. Professor Yaping Zhang (Vice President of CAS), Dr. Peter Kurtzhals (Senior Vice President of Novo Nordisk) and other board members such as Mr. Jinghua Cao (Deputy Director-General of Bureau of International Cooperation, CAS), Drs. Tao Xu (Director of Institute of Biophysics, CAS), Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening), Boerge Diderichsen (Vice President, Novo Nordisk), Baoping Wang (President of Novo Nordisk China R&D Center), Rasmus Joergensen (Vice President) and Fang Zhang (Vice President). The participants reviewed the 7-year long history of the fund and discussed the near-term working plan. Madam Dongyao Wang (Program Officer of Division of European Affairs, Bureau of International Cooperation of CAS) attended the meeting. An agreement relative to a new round of donation and collaboration was executed during the event.
