Supported by National Science and Technology Major Project, the kick-off meeting of “Detection technology platform for functional cell responses” was held at the Chinese National Compound Library (Shanghai) in the morning of June 24, 2014. Chaired by Professor Ming-Wei Wang (The National Center for Drug Screening, Shanghai, NCDS), Professor Lixin Wei (Tumor Immunity and Gene Therapy Laboratory, Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital, Second Military Medical University, Shanghai), Dr. Yi Lv (National AIDS Reference Laboratory, China CDC, Beijing) and Dr. Jiejie Deng (NCDS) shared their working experience and research progresses in this field, respectively. Drs. Xiaobo Wang and Wei Tang of ACEA Biosciences (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. introduced the platform-related technologies in label-free and real-time detection as well as flow cytometry instruments made in China. The development strategy, execution plan, tasks and collaboration were discussed in-depth among the attendants and an agreement was reached for implementation.
