Invited by Dr. Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University), Professor Takeaki Ozawa (Department of Chemistry, School of Science, The University of Tokyo, Japan) visited several academic institutions located in Shanghai Zhangjiang High-Tech Park on June 14, 2019.

Accompanied by Dr. Dehua Yang (Professor, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences), he toured ShanghaiTech University and Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, respectively, in the morning. He was warmly received by Drs. Bingjie Zhang and Beili Wu. After Zhangjiang Club business lunch with Drs. Ming-Wei Wang and Dehua Yang, he went to the Chinese National Compound Library and delivered a lecture entitled “Luminescent sensors and optical switches for single cell analysis: Opto-bioanalysis”, where he also exchanged research experience with a postgraduate student. Then, Dr. Ozawa held a roundtable discussion with several key faculty members of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University, exploring the potential to collaborate in single cell analysis platform and frontiers in science.

In the evening, Professor Hualiang Jiang (Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences) warmly greeted Drs. Takeaki Ozawa, David Julius (Professor and Chair, Department of Physiology, University of California at San Francisco, USA) and Myung Hee Kim (Director, Infection and Immunity Research Center, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience & Biotechnology) who is on her sabbatical leave at the headerquarter of Green Valley Pharma.
