Chaired by Mr. Jinghua Cao, Director-General of Bureau of International Cooperation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), the annual board meeting of Novo Nordisk-CAS Research Fund was held in Beijing in the afternoon of January 8, 2016. Present were board members such as Drs. Tao Xu (Director of Institute of Biophysics, CAS), Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening), Boerge Diderichsen (Vice President, Novo Nordisk), Soeren Tullin (Vice President, Novo Nordisk via internet), Baoping Wang (President of Novo Nordisk China R&D Center) and Fang Zhang (Vice President). Following a collaboration consortium report by Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, CAS and Novo Nordisk China R&D Center, the participants reviewed nearly 9-year operations of the fund and discussed the near-term working plan. Madam Dongyao Wang (Deputy Chief of Division of European Affairs, Bureau of International Cooperation of CAS) attended the meeting. After the meeting, the parties exchanged the executed copies of the agreement covering a recent round of donation.
