In the morning of March 15, 2012, Vice President of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Academician Yaping Zhang, Executive Deputy Director of Agricultural Project Office, Mr. Ziyuan Duan, and Deputy Section Chief of Bureau of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Mr. Yi Shen, inspected the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). They were accompanied by Professor Jian Ding and Mr. Jianjun Cheng, Director and Deputy Director of Shanghai Institutive of Materia Medica (SIMM), CAS, respectively.

The brief introduction relative to the history, development and prospect of CNCL made by Dr. Ming-Wei Wang (Director of CNCL) received high remarks by Professor Zhang. He particularly emphasized the necessity of publicizing and promoting the innovative culture and dedicated spirit of the constructors of this national resource and technology platform. He further encouraged those present at the scene to make persistent efforts and to strive for more successes. 

Professor Xu Zhang (Deputy Director, Shanghai Branch of CAS), Professor Jiaru Wu (Deputy Director, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS), Mr. Jun Li, (Deputy Director, SIMM, CAS) and Yumei Geng (Deputy Director, SIMM, CAS), among others, participated in this event.
