In the evening of June 15, 2019, Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) met with Professor Zhen Gu from Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA; U.S.A.) at Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel Shanghai. As Editor-in Chief and a member of the editorial board of Elsevier newly launched open-access journal ‒ Medicine in Drug Discovery, respectively, Drs. Wang and Gu discussed in detail about their plan to publish a special issue on drug delivery technologies while dining together. Professor Yan Zhang from School of Basic Medical Sciences, Zhejiang University and Professor Peifeng Liu, Director of Research Platform, Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine participated in the interaction and dinner.
