On March 20, 2019, Dr. Diether Lambrechts (Director, VIB-KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology, Belgium) visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL). He was warmly received by Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library). During the visit, Professor Lambrechts delivered an invited lecture entitled “The pan-cancer blueprint of the heterogeneous tumor microenvironment by single-cell profiling”. He met with Drs. Dehua Yang (Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Di Zhu and Yan Li (School of Pharmacy, Fudan University), Minghua Yu (Shanghai Pudong Hospital), Qihui Shi (Shanghai Minhang Hospital), Weijie Gu (Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center), Chaobo Hu (10 Genomics), as well as Mr. Zhuangjun Liu (Biostar Technology Ltd.) and a dozen of researchers, technicians or postgraduate students from the aforementioned institutions. They conducted a broad and in-depth discussion on single cell analysis platform, technical training plan and questions of mutual interest. An agreement was reached as to the near-term priorities.
