In the afternoon of June 5, 2018, Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library, Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University) met with Sir Pete Downes (Principal and Vice-Chancellor, University of Dundee, U.K.), Professor David Carling (Editor-in-Chief, The Biochemical Journal), Professor Tetsuji Miura (Dean, School of Medicine, Sapporo Medical University, Japan), Professor Motohiro Nishida (National Institute for Physiological Sciences, Okazaki, Japan), Professor Sookja Kim Chung (School of Biomedical Sciences, Li KA Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, China), Professor Jin Han and Associate Professor Hyoung Kyu Kim (Department of Integrated Biomedical Science, Inje University, Korea). They discussed the proposition of holding a Biochemical Journal featured forum in China this year which was subsequently agreed upon.
