Professor Seong-Woon Yu from Department of Brain & Cognitive Sciences, Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science & Technology, Korea visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) between November 27 and November 29, 2017. He was warmly received by Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/CNCL and Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University), Professor Dehua Yang and Assistant Professor Xinchuan Dai (Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences) as well as Professor Ying Chen from Fudan School of Pharmacy. Dr. Seong-Woon Yu delivered an invited lecture entitled “Autophagy and apoptosis for demise of adult neural stem cells” which was enthusiastically received by the audience. During the visit, he conducted an in-depth discussion with Dr. Ming-Wei Wang and his associates regarding the initiation of multilateral research collaborations in the area of identification of new drug targets.
