In the morning of October 13, 2017, Professor Thomas A. Steitz, 2009 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry and Sterling Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University (USA), visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL), iHuman Institute of ShanghaiTech University, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences and National Center for Protein Science•Shanghai (NCPSS). He was accompanied by Professor Ming-Wei Wang (Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director, the National Center for Drug Screening/CNCL) and Professor Jinzhong Lin from School of Life Sciences, Fudan University. Drs. Dehua Yang (Professor), Fei Xu (Associate Professor), Beili Wu (Professor), Qiang Zhao (Professor) and Yao Cong (Professor) of the above institutions warmly received him, respectively. During the facility tours, Dr. Steitz also enthusiastically interacted with a number of graduate students and young scientists discussing about their research projects and course studies.
