Accompanied by Professor Jia Li (Deputy Director), Professor Haiyan Zhang and Mr. Jian Zhao (Chief of Science and Technology Department) of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Professor Yongqing Zhang (Deputy Director, Bureau of Frontier Sciences and Education, CAS) and Dr. Yi Shen (Division Chief of Life Sciences) visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) in the morning of March 3, 2017. Dr. Ming-Wei Wang (Dean, School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library) Dr. Dehua Yang (Associate Professor) warmly received them and gave a brief account about the history, development and prospect of CNCL. Dr. Wang emphasized that CNCL will explore every possibility to expand domestic and international collaborations while implementing the national mega project on drug discovery, with an ultimate goal of establishing a top level resource and technology platform for drug innovation in China. The honorable guests highly commended the founding principles, operating mechanisms and innovation achievements of this national resource-sharing platform for drug discovery.
