On October 6, 2016, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Dean of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University and Professor Ulla Wewer, Dean of Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen (Denmark) signed a Memorandum of Understanding relative to jointly establishing a regulatory science discipline in their respective organization. This initiates a long-term collaboration on education and research in this newly emerged area. Supported by Novo Nordisk A/S, the multilateral cooperation will: (1) utilize each other’s best resources to set up and define an academic regulatory science center; (2) contribute lectures, symposia, workshops and courses to students, scholars and/or specialists studying or working in this field; (3) exchange students and professors; and (4) conduct collaborative research and education activities with complement expertise and strength. It is informed that Fudan University and Novo Nordisk A/S have executed a similar memorandum of understanding early this year as a part of the program. Professor Weiyue Lu, CCP Committee Secretary of Fudan School of Pharmacy, paid a special visit to School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (affiliated to Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences), University of Copenhagen last month when attending an international conference in Denmark, to discuss this topic with the Danish collaborators. The first joint management meeting of the program will be held at Fudan School of Pharmacy in early December, 2016.
