According to informed sources, Dr. Ming-Wei Wang, Director of the National Center for Drug Screening, was recently appointed as a board member of Shanghai Guangci Translational Medical Research Foundation (SGTMRF). Mainly launched by Professor Saijuan Chen (Chair of the board and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering), this foundation is of private nature and aims at combining the strengths of Shanghai medical community to promote translational medicine research in China, to enhance the level of medical technology and clinical practice capabilities, and to improve the people’s health. Its activities will be guided by the national science and technology development strategy. The current board members are consisted of several renowned scientists, scholars, physicians or manager, including Drs. Guoqiang Chen, Junbo Ge, Zehuang Han, Li Jin, Guang Ning, Bo Wang and Zhenggang Zhu.
