Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Director of the National Center for Drug Screening and Chinese National Compound Library, met with Professor Charles Boone (Canada Research Chair of the University of Toronto's Banting and Best Department of Medical Research and Senior International Research Scholar at Howard Hughes Medical Institute) in Tokyo, Japan, in the afternoon of April 19, 2015. Professor Boone’s postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Sheena Li, was present. They enthusiastically reviewed the latest progresses made by an on-going multinational collaboration on chemical genomics, which involves scientists from China, Canada, Japan and USA. They also discussed mechanisms through which personnel, regents, techniques and information could be better shared. Finally, they identified a few key tasks that would be implemented in the next phase of cooperation.
