Drs. Peter K. Vogt (Einstein Chair Professor of Chinese Academy of Sciences) and Ming-Wei Wang (Director of the National Center for Drug Screening/Chinese National Compound Library) visited Kunming Institute of Botany (KIB), Chinese Academy of Sciences on November 10, 2014. They received a warm reception by Professor Jikai Liu of State Key Laboratory of Phytochemistry and Plant Resources (SKL). Dr. Vogt gave a lecture entitled “New Developments in PI3K” and visited the research facility and resource platforms at KIB. He was deeply impressed by the working attitude of KIB scientists. Drs. Jijun Chen (Deputy Director of KIB and Director of SKL), Qinshi Zhao (Deputy Director of SKL) and Shenghong Li (Deputy Director of SKL) met with Drs. Vogt and Wang in the evening and they exchanged views relative to forging research collaborations between their respective institutions.
