Accompanied by three of associates, Professor Peter Shepherd from Department of Molecular Medicine and Pathology, School of Medical Sciences, the University of Auckland (New Zealand) and Editor-in-Chief of Biochemical Journal visited the National Center for Drug Screening (NCDS) and the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL), respectively, between November 12th and 13th, 2012. He was warmly greeted by Professor Jian Ding (Director), Mr. Jianjun Cheng (CCP Secretary), Drs. Hualiang Jiang (Deputy Director), Yang Ye (Deputy Director), Raymond Stevens and Ming-Wei Wang of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, among others. Productive discussions were conducted relative to bilateral collaboration on drug discovery and personnel exchange. As a good friend of China, Professor Shepherd expressed his deep appreciation for the rapid development of CNCL within the past year.
