In the morning of June 20, 2012, Professor Ming-Wei Wang, Director of the National Center for Drug Screening (NCDS)/Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL), paid visit to the Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) located in La Jolla, Californian, USA. Following a warm reception by Professor Michael A. Marletta, the newly appointed CEO and President of TSRI, and Professor Peter K. Vogt, Executive Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of TSRI, an hour-long discussion was carried out amongst the three. A mutual understanding on strategic cooperation, academic collaboration and an action plan was reached as a result. Professor Vogt has been an scientific advisor to NCDS since 2005 while Professor Wang has served as an adjunct member of TSRI from 2008.
