Led by Dr. Christian Thomsen (Vice President of Neuroinflammation Disease Biology Unit), a group of 3 scientists from Lundbeck Research USA visited the National Center for Drug Screening (NCDS) and the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) in the morning of May 31, 2012. Professor Xin Xie and Professor Ming-Wei Wang briefly introduced the history and development status of these two national R&D establishments, respectively. In-depth discussions were conducted relative to the research fields of mutual interest. Dr. Christian Thomsen is an old friend of NCDS and was responsible for managing the bilateral collaborations for several years. The guests were not only deeply impressed by the scale and infrastructure of CNCL, but also greatly inspired by its refreshing culture and visionary ideas. They wish to maintain close communication and seek collaborative opportunities with an aim of winning and growing together.
