Mr. Kazuhiro Momose, Director for Drug Discovery Research, Office of Medical Innovation, Cabinet Secretariat, Government of Japan, Mr. Minoru Tomita, Chair Scientist of Management Strategy Consulting Group, Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc.，Ms. Kaori Kido, Director of Business Development (Japan and Asia Pacific), Shanghai ChemPartner Co., Ltd. and professional translator, Mr. Hui Yin, visited the Chinese National Compound Library (CNCL) in the morning of February 17, 2012.

Following a brief introduction of the development status of Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Ming-Wei Wang explained in detail about the history of CNCL. The guests showed great interests in the vision and plan of this state-of-the-art facility, and agreed in principle to co-organize a Sino-Japanese forum on drug discovery in 2012 in order to actively promote bilateral academic exchange and cooperation.
